BISHOP'S LODGE TO BE FEATURED IN UPCOMING EPISODE OF ABC's HIT ROMANCE REALITY SERIES THE BACHELOR

Bishop's Lodge will be featured in a one-on-one date on an upcoming episode of The Bachelor. The episode will feature a special one-on-one date with a romantic dinner for two with the newest Bachelor, Chris Soules. The episode is scheduled to air Monday, February 2, 2015, at 8/7c on ABC.

Chris Soules, the handsome and successful new Bachelor who has become known as “Prince Farming,” introduced himself to last season's Bachelorette Andi Dorfman, and female fans fell hard for the soft-spoken man with a heart of gold. Now, this dreamboat farmer and wealthy businessman from Iowa is looking to fall in love and find a wife — and bring her back home to share a life with him in the small Iowa town of Arlington. With the support of his family and the state of Iowa rooting for him, Chris truly believes he can find the right woman to share a life with. Follow Chris Soules' search for his soul mate in the 19th edition of The Bachelor Mondays (8:00–10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

ABOUT BISHOP'S LODGE

In August 2014, HRV Hotel Partners, an Atlanta-based developer known for its extensive experience in hotel development, purchased Bishop's Lodge in Santa Fe's Tesuque Valley. The historic and iconic 1920s ranch resort is situated on 317 acres in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains, on property that was settled 150 years ago by Bishop Jean Baptiste Lamy. Located just four miles from downtown Santa Fe, Bishop's Lodge is a popular destination for travelers to the Santa Fe area, as well as a well-liked venue for local events.

At the time of purchase, Richard Holland, managing partner with HRV Hotel Partners, announced plans for a major renovation and expansion at the resort, to give it a renewed life in keeping with its rich history and character. The renovation will start in April of this year, closing most of the resort's amenities but leaving the property's hotel open for business. Of the current 90+ lodging options at Bishop's Lodge, 40+ hotel rooms and suites, and 10 villas will remain open, including the Presidential Suite, where a one-on-one date episode of ABC's THE BACHELOR, featuring bachelor Chris Soules, aka "Prince Farming," was recently filmed. While the property's restaurant, bar, spa and meeting facilities have temporarily closed, a stay at Bishop's Lodge includes complimentary continental breakfast, and amenities still available at the resort include horseback trail riding and Equus, a horse-assisted personal development and leadership experience for individuals and organizations.

The renovation at Bishop's Lodge will provide 106 new and renovated guest rooms and suites, as well as 12 new villas. Elements of the property's historic original design will combine with state-of-the-art luxury features that are culturally correct for the Santa Fe mountain retreat. It will incorporate indigenous materials grounded in the cultural language of the area, and will reintroduce the history, authenticity, charm and iconic nature of the old Bishop's Lodge to a broader audience of Santa Fe travelers.

The resort, in the interim, will continue to be operated by its experienced, but abbreviated, on-site management team. The renovation is expected to be completed in mid-2016. At this time, when all of the services are back in operation, Holland expects the resort's workforce to increase by three times its original.

Based in Atlanta, HRV Hotel Partners provides development and project management services for the construction and renovation of resort, urban and university hotel projects across the U.S., Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. The firm was formed in 2003 by Richard Holland, a 25-year veteran in the hospitality development business. Under his leadership, HRV Hotel Partners has grown to a hotel and resort development company with broad geographic reach, having developed hotels and resorts under the flags of most leading U.S. hotel brands, including the development of the first 10 Hilton Garden Inn hotels as Hilton's strategic partner in the launch of that brand.
